In recent years, Anthropologists have been confronted with the question in which way, if at all, anthropology can be seen as an ‘actual’ science in its own right. Following up on this question, Anthropology in Motion started its own little survey among anthropologists and soon-to-be anthropologists in Heidelberg to get an up-to-date view on the discipline today. What motives drive people to take up studies in anthropology? How is anthropology seen among them? And what do they hope to achieve in practicing anthropology?
